Evaluation
i thought in the task that i performed the radio jhingle task as of a high standard as i coulkd conquer. By using garageband i was able to apply the specific volumes and sound leves accordingly to apply to my radio jingle. I researched examples from radio 1's Annie Mac show as i was influenced from the drum and bass styled music. I could have conflicted more sounds and beats toghether to apply to the genre of the show that was carried out. Drum and bass is high tempod music and applys many genres of sounds toghether to require a specif style of music.

Garage Band example
This is an example of the garageband application i was using. It has modes to adjust the sound levels and tempo in order to require to the users specific needs. Garageband allowed me to adjust sound volume levels, this was a required need as i needed to adjust the levels in order for the microphoned voices to be at the same level.

Applications Used
Throughout this project i will be using GarageBand, an aplication specific to apple mac uses as part of the ilife software. Garageband is a popular music software program used specifically in mainline music. Its simplistic and with its choices of pre recorded sounds and an array of instruments to record sounds onto it creates an ideal foundations for a radio jingle. With Oasis recording the whole of their new album on GarageBand its more than capable of providing me with its uses to create a 1 minute radio jingle.

Target Audience
My target audience for the preliminary audio task will be aimed at the younger generation, specifically 16-24's. The type of music being played is the modern essence of club music being played at the moment with d&b having a bigger impact than in the 90's. The 16-24's are the typical age for party-go'ers and revellers alike therefore it seems ideal to signify them as a specific target audience. The upbeat tempo will be that resembled to the club scenes and will be aimed at the younger generation by producing the fast paced tempo sounds that typically resembles the lifestyle of the younger generation.
The presenter should be enthusiastic and resemble the music being played. A dull presenter will dull down the enthusiasm being portrayed by the new style music. Thereofre this would be a disadvantage to the show as a whole and would deter the listeners from tuning into the show again. I feel a male presenter would be more ideal to resemble the music, yet radio 1's show Annie Mac is a woman presenter and her voice accompanies the new style sounds appropriately, yet she has a unique voice therefore allowing her to do so sucsessfully.

Plan
For my introductory radio jingle im going to produce a high paced jingle resembling the 'new style' music of drum and bass and techno sounds, popular amongst the younger generation. Im going to showcase the music being played throughout the show into the introductuary jingle by incorporating these two styles of music into one being played simultaneously over one another. Through my research of the three conventions of radio jingles i have decided to incorporate the ideals of each show: The Chris Moyles Show, The Scott Mills Show and The Annie Mac show into one by taking each of their unique house styles to in a sense "get the best of both (in my case three) worlds". I will attempt to use Chris Moyles' quirky radio introductions, Annie Macs fast paced unique music and Scott Mills upveat introductuary jingle.

Analysis Of Different Types Of Radio Jingles
Example 1 - Radio 1 - Chris Moyles Show
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00gqcdr/The_Chris_Moyles_Show_20_01_2009/
Prehaps one of the most popular radio shows in the UK, therefore requiring a distinguished radio jingle in order for listeners to recognise. The typical morning radio show is laid back and relaxed therefore this should be resembled in the aqquired radio jingle. The tempo is slow yet repetitive resembling the on-going theme of relaxation. Repetition is used to showcase the Chris Moyles show in order to promote. Beats and other sounds are left to play through, backed up by comical phrases to resemble the theme of the show. The jingle is a major theme of a radio show and is used to depict what the show en-tails. Therefore creating comical vibes in order to conform to the radio shows on-going theme.
Example 2 - Radio 1 Xtra - Annie Mac Mash Up
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00gknyq/Annie_Macs_Mash_Up_16_01_2009/
Annie Mac through her show promotes 'new' style music, showcasing D&B and urban house style music. The jingle is heard as up-beat and energetic resembling the tempo of the music that will be played throughout the show. Techno-type sounds are projected in order to verify the 'new' style of music the show is all about. Electro-beats are used to depict the shows style and difference in the modern, mainstream radio stations such as Chris Moyels. The difference in radio jingles can be seen by the popular demands of the shows and the time in which the show is played out. Through the day radio stations are mainstream and therefore their jingles are representative of this. Jingles also use repetition of words that is used contextually in relationships, this is key and lets the audience know its a show they can rely on. In Annie Mac's jingles the word "trust" is repeated letting the audience know its a show they can "trust" to play good tunes.
Example 3 - Radio 1 - Scott Mills Show
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00gklm4/Scott_Mills_14_01_2009/
The opening for The Scott Mills show is very high paced and upbeat. The Scott Milss show plays out during normal "coming out of work hours" between 4-6. It differs greatly from The Chris Moyles Show as the shows of the times are two different parts of the day and resemble the normal moods of people, i.e being saddened by the fact you have to go to work, being happy coming home from work ect. From the jingle the audience can gather that the show will play modern music due to the time the show is played out and the radio station its being played on, i.e radio 1. The opening jingle through its high paced tempo and upbeat sounds gathers the interests of its target audience also appealing to the genreal moods of people coming home from work. An ideal radio jingle for the introduction of the show.
